Foster Garvey is pleased to announce Rob Mecklenborg has joined the firm as Counsel in its Business & Corporate Finance practice. Based in the Portland office, Rob advises clients on a wide range of corporate and real estate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, corporate governance, public-private partnerships and financing matters.

Rob returns to the firm after serving as Senior Counsel at Schnitzer Properties, a national real estate investment company, where he led legal efforts on transactional matters involving a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. His work included advising on equity investments, structuring joint ventures and supporting long-term investment strategies.

Prior to his in-house role, Rob was a member of Foster Garvey’s corporate team, where he advised clients on a large variety of successful transactions.

“Rob understands how to move high-value deals forward without losing sight of the details that matter most to clients,” said Hillary Hughes, Chair of the Business & Corporate Finance practice. “His return feels like a natural continuation of the work he started here years ago, and we are glad to have him back.”

Rob earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and holds a B.S. in Finance from Miami University. He is admitted to practice in Oregon, Washington and Ohio.
