Overview

Since 1982, Foster Garvey’s Portland attorneys have assisted businesses and individuals with solving complex legal issues. With nearly 30 attorneys, the Foster Garvey Portland office is the firm’s second largest, providing a full range of legal services that include business and corporate, litigation and dispute resolution, tax, trusts and estates, labor and employment, real estate, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, and employee benefits and executive compensation.

Among the office’s members are a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon; fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers, American College of Tax Counsel and American College of Employee Benefits Counsel; a certified Business Bankruptcy Specialist; and a Multnomah County Circuit Court Arbitration Commissioner.

Several practices and attorneys in Portland are consistently recognized in Chambers USA, Chambers High Net Worth, U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms”, Best Lawyers® and Oregon Super Lawyers.

Foster Garvey Portland office attorneys and staff provide pro bono legal services to, serve on boards, or regularly devote time to many deserving community-focused organizations in the Portland Metro Area, including Albertina Kerr Centers, the City Club of Portland, Classroom Law Project, Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA), Edison High School, Edwards Center Inc., Lewis and Clark Law School, Oregon Innocence Project, PHAME and Project Lemonade. The Portland office proudly houses the headquarters of Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS).
