Foster Garvey is pleased to announce the addition of Christopher Beaver as Counsel in the firm’s Business & Corporate Finance practice. He joins the firm from gunnercooke LLP, where he was a partner in the global corporate practice, advising on fund structuring, cross-border M&A and regulatory matters for clients in the U.S., UK and Europe.
Christopher brings more than 25 years of experience as a U.S. corporate attorney and UK solicitor. His background includes advising private investment funds, venture capital firms, family offices, registered investment advisors and operating companies on complex transactions, fund formation, corporate structuring and governance. He has worked extensively across sectors including technology, defense, healthcare, hospitality, cannabis, financial services and real estate.
Prior to his time at gunnercooke, Christopher led his own corporate and regulatory law firm, RC Beaver & Associates, serving clients in New York, Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Earlier in his career, he held general counsel and senior legal roles at investment firms and healthcare organizations, where he managed legal operations, fund development and investor relations. He also practiced at national law firms, including Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and Riker Danzig, advising on structured finance, private equity, insurance and capital markets transactions.

Christopher holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and both a B.S. and M.A. from St. John’s University in New York. He is admitted to practice in New York, Washington, D.C. and Maryland, and is a solicitor of England and Wales. He is also admitted before several federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Tax Court.
