Foster Garvey welcomes Associates Anne Dorshimer and Morgan Jones to the Seattle office. Anne supports the Commercial & IP Transactions practice group, and Morgan joins the Investment Management practice group.
Anne Dorshimer is an experienced attorney who will apply regulatory knowledge and dispute resolution experience to Foster Garvey’s leading Alcoholic Beverages practice. Previously a member of a Seattle-based law firm, Anne led civil litigation cases in federal courts, administrative courts and in private arbitration for alcoholic beverage, health care and other clients. Anne also served the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions as Assistant General Counsel, interpreting and applying federal and state securities laws, regulations and statements of policy and corresponded with issuers to discuss compliance. She clerked for the Hon. David W. Christel of the U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington and for the Hon. Frances Marie Tydingco-Gatewood of the U.S. District Court of Guam. Anne holds a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in international relations and Mandarin Chinese from Michigan State University.

Morgan Jones joins the firm as a member of the Investment Management group. Bringing a multidisciplinary skill set with extensive experience in tax law, Morgan joins Foster Garvey from a Big Four firm where he managed multi-state tax services. He has experience managing state income tax compliance, controversy and consulting engagements for both corporate and pass-through entities. He has supervised hundreds of state income tax filings while simultaneously managing local and international project teams and has successfully advised on the tax implications of company sales and acquisitions. Morgan will apply his tax consulting and advisory experience to the tax law needs of the firm’s broad base of public pension fund and other institutional investor clients. Morgan holds an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Francisco, a joint J.D./M.B.A. from Seattle University School of Law and Albers School of Business and Economics, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from Eastern Washington University.
