Foster Garvey is pleased to announce that Gerena Gregory has joined the firm as an Associate in its Business & Corporate Finance practice, based in New York. Gerena works with startups, venture-backed companies and investors across a range of industries, including technology, food and beverage, digital media and consumer products.
Prior to joining Foster Garvey, Gerena was a member of the New Ventures practice group at Thompson Hine LLP in Chicago, where she counseled clients on venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, corporate governance and other general corporate matters. She also supported clients through investment rounds, corporate structuring and strategic growth planning.

Gerena earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her B.A. from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Before entering private practice, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Cynthia Y. Cobbs of the Illinois Appellate Court, First District. She is admitted to practice in New York and Illinois.
