Overview
William is a member of the firm’s Public Finance, Municipal Law and Labor, Employment & Immigration practices.
He advises municipalities and other public entities on a wide range of legal matters, including regulatory compliance, governance, labor and employment, and land use issues.
William counsels state and local governments on compliance with state and federal laws, including public sector collective bargaining requirements, procurement regulations, paid sick leave laws, and anti-discrimination statutes. He assists employers in responding to state and federal discrimination claims and helps employers with geographically diverse workforces navigate multistate employment law requirements.
William also provides strategic guidance to municipalities in litigation and dispute resolution matters, including eminent domain proceedings, interlocal agreement disputes and challenges involving governmental land use decisions.
Passionate about community involvement and combating social justice issues, he serves on the board of Team Child and is co-chair of the alumni engagement committee at his alma mater, University of Washington School of Law. William also serves as a mentor to first-generation law students through UW Law and the JMMP program.
