“Unfunded Mandates in a Nutshell,” Washington Council of School Attorneys
Tom Ahearne presented a day-long CLE workshop for the Washington Council of School Attorneys (COSA) at the SeaTac Airport Convention Center. During the workshop, he presented on:
- Washington’s unfunded mandate statute, and how school districts could use that statute to cover the cost of mandates the State imposes on them.
- Immigration enforcement on school property.
- First Amendment issues school districts face when dealing with the press and social media.
