“Seattle Ordinances Affecting Employers – Hear from the City”

  • Join Foster Pepper Employment & Labor attorneys and guest speaker Karina Bull from the City of Seattle’s Office of Labor Standards for a complimentary breakfast briefing, hosted in-person or via webinar, on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
  • The Office of Labor Standards (OLS), created two years ago, is responsible for implementing and enforcing Seattle’s minimum wage, paid sick and safe time, wage theft, “ban the box,” and other ordinances, as well as measures that the City may enact in the future. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the requirements of these ordinances, compliance strategies, the OLS’s enforcement priorities, and tips to more effectively work with the OLS. The seminar will include a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
