Foster Garvey is pleased to announce that Rafael Stone has been selected to Savoy Magazine's 2022 list of Most Influential Black Lawyers. The list highlights the "best of the best" of Black lawyers who are partners within leading national law firms and corporate and general counsel from Fortune 1000 corporations.
Rafael is a Co-Chair of Foster Garvey and is based in the firm’s Seattle office. He also serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Investment Management group. Rafael’s practice focuses on U.S. and international private equity, hedge funds, infrastructure, real estate, opportunistic funds and direct investments. He advises more than 30 public pension funds located throughout the United States in all aspects of public pension fund alternative investments.

In 2015, Rafael was named to The National Black Lawyers Top 100 list, a professional honorary association recognizing preeminent black lawyers nationally. He has been ranked in both Chambers Global and Chambers USA as a “Leading Individual” for Investment Funds: Investor Representation.
Rafael currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Blethen Corporation and The Seattle Times. He is also a member of the Africa Investor Advisory Board and the Port of Seattle’s Sea-Tac Airport Policy Advisory Group. Rafael previously served as Chair of the African American Heritage Foundation.
