Foster Garvey attorneys Mike Vaska and Rylan Weythman were recently featured in Law360’s Weekly Verdict: Legal Lions & Lambs column for their work representing beverage distributor Olympic Eagle. On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit ruled that a JAMS arbitrator had an obligation to disclose that he had an ownership interest in the private arbitration and mediation organization. This ruling vacates an award the arbitrator decided in a case between Olympic Eagle and Monster Energy Co. in 2018.
