Foster Garvey is pleased to announce that Mikaela Louie, an associate in the firm’s Health Care group in Seattle, has been named to the Leadership Tomorrow Class of 2022.

Leadership Tomorrow is a Seattle-based organization devoted to cultivating civic leaders from the Puget Sound region. Each year, Leadership Tomorrow selects 80 influential members across the public, private and nonprofit sectors for its 10-month Flagship Program. Class members have all demonstrated a deep commitment to making the region a more equitable and just place for everyone.

The Leadership Tomorrow cohort will examine current issues from a systemic point of view, consider diverse perspectives and practice collaborating across differences. Focus areas for this year’s cohort include developing leadership skills; identifying and dismantling systemic racism; understanding regional issues and building community.

In her legal practice, Mikaela is devoted to helping hospitals and health care providers on a wide range of matters, including regulatory compliance, health information privacy, data security, contracting, licensing, certificates of need, and governance. She currently is a member of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association Washington State Chapter where she previously served as Chair, and she is Co-Chair of the chapter’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. Mikaela is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Cross Cultural Health Care Program.
