Kinnon Williams will be presenting at the 2022 Fall Conference of the Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys (WSAMA).
Kinnon will be discussing the legal tools to incentivize economic development. This presentation will explore tax and financing options available to local government to address economic development. Topics to be discussed will include incentivizing sales under WAC 458-61A-205, city participation in LID’s, use of developer extension agreements, tax benefits afforded to nonprofit organizations, coordination with developers, nonprofits, and other governments, as well as the impacts of gentrification on communities.
