"Unfunded Mandates in a Nutshell," Washington Council of School Attorneys

Tom Ahearne presented a day-long CLE workshop for the Washington Council of School Attorneys (COSA) at the SeaTac Airport Convention Center. During the workshop, he presented on:

1. Washington’s unfunded mandate statute, and how school districts could use that statute to cover the cost of mandates the State imposes on them.
2. Immigration enforcement on school property.
3. First Amendment issues school districts face when dealing with the press and social media.
