Matt Yium, Tom Scott, and Paul Trinchero will examine emerging commercial lease disputes arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic. The topics of discussion will include force majeure provisions in commercial leases, common law defenses of impossibility, frustration, and impracticability, and issues surrounding Governor Brown’s recent 90-day moratorium on commercial evictions.
