Rafael Stone, Chair of Foster Pepper’s Investment Management group, is chairing a panel discussion at Africa Investor’s CEO Investment Summit. The Summit, held in association with the World Bank Group and the opening of the United Nations session, is an annual CEO business and government leadership forum designed to highlight and enhance African investment projects. Business and government leaders gather to discuss challenges to Africa’s investment climate, growth and opportunities in various sectors, and Africa’s investment success stories.
Stone’s panel, titled “Roundtable on U.S. Pension Funds & Endowments Investing in Africa,” comprises of leaders from the top public and private pension funds in the United States, including New York State Common Retirement Fund, City of Dallas Employees Retirement Fund and TIAA-CREF. The panelists will discuss their institutions’ international strategies and requirements for potential or increased investment in Africa. Stone will facilitate the questions and summarize the discussion.
Stone has been a Member of Foster Pepper since 1979 and has more than 30 years of experience representing institutional investors in a wide variety of private equity, real estate and other national and international investments. He has spoken at several Africa Investor summits and forums.
