Foster Pepper Promotes Five to Member Status in 2014
Foster Pepper is pleased to announce the promotion to Member (Partner) of Jason Donovan, Terrance Keenan, Kirsten Koester, Katie Carder McCoy and Chuck Rullman.
Jason (Jay) Donovan concentrates his practice on representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes involving commercial general liability, directors' and officers' liability, employment practices liability and professional services liability. In addition to his insurance coverage experience, Jay advises transportation brokers in insurance, discrimination, contractual and other claims. He is active in a number of local and national bar associations, as well as a board member of the Bailey-Boushay House. Jay received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Law and his B.M. from Northwestern University.
Terrance (Terry) Keenan is a member of the firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy practice and focuses on bankruptcy, debtor-creditor law, civil litigation and real estate matters. He also represents clients in the purchase and sale of distressed property interests in bankruptcy and receivership proceedings. Prior to obtaining his law degree, Terry was a manager in the Global Business Solutions group at Accenture. He serves as a board member and fundraising chair of Consumer Education and Training Services (CENTS). Terry received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and his B.S. from the University of San Francisco’s McLaren School of Management.
Kirsten Koester represents both emerging and established companies in various corporate, securities and finance matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Kirsten worked in the Asset Management Group of Credit Suisse First Boston in New York City. She serves as a mentor with the University of Washington School of Law’s Professional Mentorship Program. Kirsten received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and her B.A. from Yale University.
Katie Carder McCoy is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice and co-chairs the firm’s Retail & Consumer Products industry group. She concentrates on commercial and employment litigation and has broad experience litigating complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts, as well as private arbitration. Katie is active in the community and serves as a board member of Legal Voice. She received her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Washington.
Chuck Rullman is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution group and he is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Washington and California. He represents large and mid-size companies and governmental agencies in commercial and class action disputes involving contract issues, business torts and intellectual property. In 2013, Chuck was recognized as a Rising Star by Washington Super Lawyers® and he is the President (Elect) of the Board of Directors for Campfire Central Puget Sound. Chuck received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and his B.A. from the University of Washington.
