V. Rafael Stone, a member (partner) and chair of the Investment Management practice at Foster Pepper, was recently selected to become a member of The National Black Lawyers – Top 100, an invitation-only professional honorary association including the Top 100 Black Lawyers from each state.
The members of The National Black Lawyers – Top 100 exemplify superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence and performance. Criteria for eligibility include reputation among peers, achievements as specialty lawyers, nominations from current members and leadership and membership in other organizations.
Stone focuses his practice on domestic and international private equity, hedge funds, infrastructure, real estate, opportunistic funds and direct investments. In his role as chair of the firm’s Investment Management practice, he advises more than 30 public pension funds located throughout the United States. He is a frequent speaker on alternative investment legal issues for public pension funds and institutional investors. Stone serves on the Board of Directors of the Blethen Corporation and The Seattle Times. He also serves as co-chair of the Foster Pepper Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
