Foster Pepper Welcomes Two Associates to Real Estate Practice

Foster Pepper is pleased to announce the addition of two new associates, Hunter Jeffers and Joanne Kalas, to the firm’s thriving Real Estate & Land Use practice.
Hunter focuses on representing real estate developers and commercial real estate brokerages in transactions and dispute resolution. He also has experience with business and commercial litigation, municipal liability and insurance coverage disputes. Hunter is on the Board of Directors for the Seattle Rotary Boys & Girls Club and the Burke Museum of Natural History. Prior to joining Foster Pepper, Hunter practiced at Mills Meyers Swartling P.S. He earned his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Washington.
Joanne focuses her practice on counseling clients on environmental litigation, transactions and regulatory compliance. She has experience handling complex environmental litigation and addressing issues related to site remediation, environmental cost recovery, contaminated property, and compliance involving CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA and CWA. Prior to joining Foster Pepper she practiced as a member of the Environmental group at Stoel Rives LLP. Joanne earned her J.D. from Pace University School of Law (cum laude) and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (with honors).
