Foster Pepper Welcomes Six New Associates

Foster Pepper is pleased to welcome six associates to its Seattle office. The new associates attended law
schools across the country, including Harvard Law School, University of Pennsylvania Law School, Northwestern
University School of Law and the University of Washington School of Law. All are joining the firm after previously
working as summer associates.

Devra Cohen joins the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. She received her J.D. from the University of
Washington School of Law. While in law school, she was the Executive Managing Director for the Washington
Law Review
and the Pro Bono Coordinator for GreenLaw. Devra was on the National Environmental Law Moot
Court Competition Team and graduated Order of the Coif. Prior to joining Foster Pepper, Devra served as a
judicial law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for the Washington State Supreme Court.
She received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.

Thomas Farrow joins the firm’s Real Estate practice after earning his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania
Law School. Prior to joining Foster Pepper, Thomas was a judicial intern to the Hon. James L. Robart, U.S.
District Court, Western District of Washington. He also served as a legal intern with the Gig Harbor Municipal
Court. Thomas received his B.A. (magna cum laude) from the University of Washington.

Isaac Joy joins the firm’s Investment Management practice. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School where
he was part of the Black Law Students Association and Harvard Defenders. Prior to joining Foster Pepper, Isaac
was a summer associate at Schroeter, Goldmark & Bender and worked for the New York Public Library. He
received his B.A. from Amherst College.

Brooks Lindsay joins the firm’s Business, Intellectual Property and Emerging Companies & Venture Capital
practices. He earned his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Washington where he was Director of
Outreach for the Journal of Law Technologies & Arts. Prior to joining Foster Pepper, Brooks was a legal intern for
Amazon and interned with the Labor and Employment section of the Seattle City Attorney’s Office. He received
his B.S. from Georgetown University.

Kelly Mennemeier joins the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. Prior to joining Foster Pepper, Kelly
completed a judicial clerkship for the Hon. Peter J. Maassen of the Alaska Supreme Court. She received her J.D.
(magna cum laude) from Northwestern University School of Law where she was the Executive Articles and
Comment Editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and Captain of the National Trial Team. She
received her B.A. (magna cum laude) from Wellesley College.

Michelle Rusk joins the firm’s Real Estate and Land Use, Planning & Zoning practices after recently earning her
J.D. (with honors) from the University of Washington School of Law where she was Associate Editor-in-Chief for
the Washington International Law Journal and the Women’s Law Caucus President. Prior to joining Foster
Pepper, Michelle was a law clerk for the Torts section of the Seattle City Attorney’s Office and a law clerk for the
Northwest Justice Project, Veterans Project. She received her B.A. (magna cum laude) from Whitworth University.
