Join us for the continuation of our ongoing roundtable series focusing on topics pertinent to all types of businesses. The September program is geared toward small business owners, executives and management who are organizing board meetings and lawyers who advise businesses on governance issues.
For businesses large and small, a systematic approach to corporate housekeeping can be a tool to mitigate risk and ensure that business formality requirements don’t distract you from getting business done. While the body of corporate governance laws apply primarily to corporations, other entities can use similar systematic approaches to keep the business house in order. Foster Pepper attorneys Lara Hemingway and Paul D. Fitzpatrick will discuss:
- What is governance and how does it differ between entity type?
- Common pitfalls and hot button issues in the governance arena.
- Roles and responsibilities of owners, directors and management.
- Systems that can be utilized to ensure governance is addressed appropriately.
If you have a question you would like addressed during the presentation, please email Price Herriage-Wilson at email@example.com.
CLE (attorney) credits pending.
Certificate of completion available for other organizations.
