SEATTLE, WASH. – January 18, 2013 – Northwest law firm Foster Pepper PLLC’s Public Finance practice has ranked first in the U.S. having served as bond counsel in connection with the competitive offering of more municipal bonds than any other firm in the nation, with 27 issues at $4.3 billion for the full 2012 year, according to the Thomson Reuters annual rankings. The firm also placed fourth in the top disclosure counsel category with 27 issues at $4.9 billion; and ninth in the top bond counsel category with 112 issues at $7.1 billion; and tenth in the top bond counsel category. Foster Pepper is the only Northwest-based law firm appearing in these rankings.

The rankings reflect transaction volume that includes all long-term municipal new issues underwritten during the full year of 2012. Rankings do not include short-term, preliminary, private placement, or rank ineligible issues.
